Groot is our new adventure! Born in 2020, we saw this boy and couldn't pass him up. This stallion is bred for Barrels and Roping. A little background on his sire and dam. Sire is the famous, Slick By Design-4x NFR qualifier and 3x round winner at the NFR, as well as he holds the fastest time that any stallion has ever ran at 13.48, and Lifetime Earnings in barrel racing of over $643,000. In 2012, he was the AQHA Junior Barrel Racing World Champion. Slick By Designs offsprings earnings over $6 million dollars.. and still increasing! Groots dam also competed in barrel racing, and has won over $80,000 in Lifetime Earnings! She’s a Pro-Rodeo winner, Futurity and Derby money earner, she made multiple Top 10 out of over 500 entries in Barrel Racing, and she’s a multiple point earner. In 2021 she made it into UPRA finals, and in 2014 she qualified for the AQHA Junior Barrel Racing World Show. Groots grandsires, granddams, great grandsires and great granddams have all competed in some event and has done well! Designer Red, Jesses Double Dee, Beduino.. just to name a few. We are excited to see what the future holds for this stallion and to see what he's good at and enjoys doing. Not only does he have nice bloodlines, but Groot is a dark Buckskin that’s homozygous for the Black extension. Meaning he cannot produce any Sorrels, Palominos, Red Duns, etc.. no Red colored foals.

He is currently enrolled in MN Futurity and Future Fortunes Junior Stallion. We just had him at the trainers for 6 months learning to Rope and work cows up at Wojos Horse Training and Rodeo in Greenbush, MN. Our plan is to continue his training in Roping and to get him going on the Barrel pattern.
